02-22-1914 Dr. James Orr Stewart, formerly of Cazaville PQ, died at his
residence, 2471 Hutchinson Street, Montreal PQ, after a 14 month illness, age 58
years 03 months. Dr. Stewart was born in the parish of St Anicet, on the 15th of
November, 1855, the third son of the late James Stewart and Mary Harvey, he
received his early education at the Huntingdon academy and graduated in medicine
from McGill University in 1880. Returning to his native home he took up his
profession and practiced medicine with more than ordinary success for more than
32 years. Remains will be placed at the Mount Royal Cemetery. Retiring from his
practice in 1912 and moving to Montreal. He is survived by his wife, Kate R.
Fraser, whom he married in September 1891, he is survived by two sons, Clarence
J. Stewart, who is studying medicine at McGill University, and Hugh F. Stewart,
a graduate of Montreal business college, two daughters, Murial Irene, age 07
years, and Jean Isabel, age 04 years, and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred E. Sadler, of
Ormstown PQ, and Mrs. C. McFarland, of 2040 Esplinadc Avenue, Montreal.
