PQ, aged 84 years. He was one of the oldest citizens of the district, being born
in Montreal in 1841, and when a boy of twelve came with his parents to
Powerscourt PQ. He held several public offices, namely town counselor, school
Commissioner, and justice of the piece. A member of the Athelstan Prespyterian
Church, funeral service conducted by the Rev. E. E. Mowatt, at his late
residence. He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, Nancy Brown, one brother
Alexander Wallace of Brushton New York, and four children, James Wallace of
Athelstan PQ, Mrs. John Rannie of Huntingdon PQ, Mrs. Robert McCleery of
Westmount PQ, and Mrs. Norman Fennell of Huntingdon PQ.

Riverside Connecticut. A sister and of Mr. JC Bruce,. Mrs David's was a native
of this place being born on Nov. 24,1854 . She married W. J. L. David's, of New
York, who for a longtime was connected with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and
lived in New York for ten years before going to Riverside where the family have
been prominent residence for 25 years. Mr. David's passed away shortly before
the war and the only survivor now left is the daughter, Miss Georgina B.
David's, who is editor of the Greenwich Press. Died at Brooklyn NY.

died at Montreal PQ, age 05 years 06 months. To be buried in Huntingdon on on
arrival of the New York Central morning train on Friday.
05-11-1925 John Tannahill, died at Trout River PQ, age 79 years.Mr. Tannahill
was born at Trout River PQ on Aug. 27,1846. He was married on December the 17th,
1873, to Mary Caldwell, of Kensington PQ. She died Feb. 24th, 1907. Four
children were born to them,three survive them,John James, who carries on the
farm, Miss Eliza C. Tannahill, of Montreal, Mrs. Rev. J. G. Fulcher, of
Shawinigan Falls PQ, one son, William, died a few years ago. The funeral service
was held at the Kensington Methodist Church on May 13th and conducted by Rev. E.
E. Mowatt, united Church minister, assisted by Rev. D. T. Irwin Forsythe.

cought in this country after smuggling Russian Jews over the border to Malone
New York, where they were harbored by Marie Donahue, was sentenced last week by
a federal judge Cooper to a year and a day at Atlanta and a fine of $6.000.00.
Judge Cooper said that Canadians along our border must be taught that they
cannot violate the immigration law and that the law has teeth in it. Mrs.
Donahue did not appear, charged with conducting a disorderly house. (Malone

mother of Walter A MacLaren, died at her late residence, 256 Durocher Avenue,
Montreal PQ, age 66 years. Mrs. Maclaren,nee Jennie Elizabeth Anderson, born at
Herdman PQ. Their early married life was spent in St. Paul Minnesota, where Mr.
McClaren was indeed to in the service of the northern Pacific railway. Returning
to Canada, they lived for a time in Ormstown PQ,and 27 years ago went to
Montreal to reside. Mr. Maclaren survives,with one son, Walter A Maclaren,
editor of the Blue Bell magazine of the Bell Telephone Company of Canada.

died at Orlando Florida, age 85 years. Interred at Huntingdon PQ.When her
parents died, Miss. Shirriff proceeded to the United States fifteen years ago
and made her home with her brother, Dr. George Shirriff of Atlanta GA and later
Orlando Florida. Miss Shirriff was the eldest daughter of the late Dr. Francis
Shirriff, who was a Huntingdon physician for over half a century, and was 85
years old when he died. The late Mrs. James Patterson, wife of the oldest
Montreal clergyman, perhaps the oldest in Canada, was a sister of Miss.
Shirriff. Another sister is Mrs.A F Campbell,of Brandon MB. In addition to Dr.
Shirriff at Orlando, there are four other brothers, Frank of Toronto Ont., David
in Brandon Manitoba, James and Will, in Saskatchewan.
