Joseph and Robert of the Gore, Hinchinbrooke PQ, and one brother William having 
predeceased him. Interred in the Gore Cemetery Hinchinbrooke PQ.

01-12-1931 Ellen Armstrong, dear the beloved wife of James Figsby, died at her 
late residence, age 74 years. Funeral Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. James Church, 
in Ormstown PQ. 
01-12-1931 Peter MacFarlane, formerly of Elgin Township and Chateauguay PQ, died 
at New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, age 81 years 11 months. Son of the late Peter 
Macfarlane and Isabella Clark. The late Mr. Macfarlane was twice married, his 
first wife being Mary Jane Sayer of Elgin Township PQ, his second wife was 
Jennie Liddle of New Glasgow. He is also survived by five children by his first 
wife, Peter Alexander in Boston, Annie, Mrs. B. Stevenson, a St. Luc, PQ, Katie, 
Mrs.D. Lang of Chateauguay PQ, James Clark in Seal Harbor Nova Scotia, and 
Rhoda, a teacher in Montreal, also had adopted daughter, Irene, nurse in 
training at the Woman's Hospital, Montreal. Interred at New Glasgow with Masonic 
honors. 
01-14-1931 John Neely, died at the Gore Hinchinbrook PQ. Mr. Neely was the 
eldest son of the late Robert and Mrs. Neely, born June 15, 1875. Two wives 
predeceased him, Caroline Edith Crutchfield, and Elsie Maude Fitzsimmonds, one 
son was born to his first union, John Allister Neely, with three brothers and 
three sisters survive him, Kerr of the Gore, Duncan at home, Warren of Regina, 
Mrs. William Cameron of the Gore, Mrs. Daniel Walker of Huntingdon, and Miss 
Ella at home. Interred in the Gore Cemetery Hinchinbrook PQ.

held in St. Joseph's Church, Interred in Ormstown PQ. 
01-17-1931 Theresa Gardner, Widow of the late Robert McBride, died at Morin 
Heights, PQ, Interred at Ormstown.she was born on Oct. 11, 1853, and lived in 
Dewittville until her married to Mr. Robert McBride in 1874. After which she did 
in South Dakota where her family was born. When her children were quite small 
she came to Montreal but in 1902 she was left a Widow, with three children and 
six months later her oldest boy died. Her other two children, Chester of 
Montreal, and Hattie, Mrs. John McConnell, of Morin Heights, survived her. Her 
remains were brought to Ormstown PQ where she was laid to rest in the family 
plot beside her husband and family.

01-27-1931 Catherine L. Henderson, last surviving member of the family of the 
late Archibald and Mrs. Henderson, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. 
Stephen, 259 first Avenue Ottawa Ont., age 85 years. Funeral at Huntingdon 
United Church. Miss Lillian M. Henderson, her niece of Chicago IL, was at the 
bedside during the last hours, another niece, Miss Mabel Carruthers of Toronto, 
came on to attend the funeral, while a sister-in-law, Mrs. F. L. Henderson of 
Montreal, joined the relatives at Huntingdon where the deceased was buried . A 
short service was held at the Stephen home on the 28th, conducted by Rev. H. S. 
Osborne, acting minister of St. James United Church. Miss Annie Rose, (sister of 
Mrs.Stephen), who cared for Miss Henderson during her illness and Mr. Stephen 
accompanied the remains to Huntingdon, where on Thursday morning a service was 
held in the United Church, conducted by the Rev. J.H. Miller, interment was in 
the family plot in the beautiful cemetery at Huntingdon.

01-23-1931 Marcella Furlong, formally of Ormstown PQ, and beloved wife of the 
late Patrick Reynolds, died at Montreal PQ at the residence of her daughter, 
Mrs. T. F. Butler, 37 Barat Road. Funeral Monday Jan. 26 to be Church of the 
Ascension, Westmount by Rev. father Ouimet. Her father was Thomas Furlong, who 
came from Ireland in the early 19th-century, and was one of the first pioneers 
in the Huntingdon district. The late Mrs. Reynolds is survived by two daughters, 
Mrs. WP Doyle, and Mrs. Thomas F. Butler, and 10 grandchildren.

Pheoba Ann Sterling, Widow of the late Albert Irving Sterling, who predeceased 
her four years ago, died suddenly at Ottawa Ont., age 59 years. She leaves to 
mourn her loss, two sons, Edmund of Windsor and John, principal of Willson 
Avenue school at Ottawa. 
02-09-1931 Rosetta A Miller, formerly of Huntingdon PQ, died suddenly at the 
home of her nephew, John D. Miller of Winnipeg MB, aged 82 years.01 month. 
Funeral service in Saint Andrews Church Saturday. She is the last surviving 
member of the family of David Miller and his wife Margaret Baird Miller, late of 
Huntingdon PQ. She was the third daughter and child of this family, the oldest 
sister being Mary and Matilda. These three were born in County Antrim, Ireland. 
Rosetta was still in her infants say when they immigrated to Canada and settled 
in Huntingdon with the remainder of the family was born. Namely, Annie, James, 
John and Elizabeth. All married except Rosetta, Mary, Mrs. Howard, of Muskoka 
Ont., Matilda, Mrs. Hyde of North Dakota, Annie, Mrs. Thompson of Vermont, James 
in Huntingdon, John in New York, and Elizabeth, Mrs. Eatonin Huntingdon.she was 
brought home and buried from St. Andrew's Church in Huntingdon.

PQ, a son of Philip and Joanna O'Connor. On November 30, 1905, he was United in 
marriage with Pearl McDonald of Piercefield. He is survived by his wife, and 
sister, Miss Eleanor O'Connor, also survived by another sister, Mrs. Barney 
Dwyer, of Faust. Two brothers, Arthur of Piercefield, and Edward of Livermore 
Falls,Me. The funeral will be held at Piercefield and Interred in Tupper Lake 
Cemetery until spring then Interred in Malone,N.Y.. 
02-22-1931 Rose Higgins, beloved wife of William T. Ryan, formerly of St Anicet 
PQ, died at her home near Chateauguay New York, age 51 years. Mrs. Ryan was born 
in St Anicet PQ, she was married to William T. Ryan 26 years ago. Surviving 
besides her husband she leaves four children, Anna, Lillian, Rosamund and 
Thomas, all of Chateauguay. She also leaves two sisters and a brother, Mrs. John 
Bilks of Akron OH, Mrs. PC Ryan, of Chateauguay, and Philip Higgins of St 
Anicet. Funeral from St. Patrick's Church at Chateauguay, Interred in 
Chateauguay Cemetery.

daughter of the late James and Margaret Stephen of Huntingdon PQ,died at 
Birchton PQ, age 75 years. The late Mr. Todd is survived by his wife, two 
brothers, N.D. Todd of Island Brook and A N. Todd of Bulwer, and two sisters 
Mrs. Hollis Coates of Eatons Corners, and Mrs. H. H. Weston of Vancouver. All 
but Mrs. Weston were present at the funeral.

at St Louis de Gonzaque PQ, and a brother, Leonard living in Montreal.

deceased was born in Hemmingford PQ on February 11, 1857. He went to California 
in 1876 and was first married in 1885 to Florence Gray, of Mooers Forks, who 
died in 1886. In 1890 he was married to Ella L. Fox, who pre-deceased him in 
death last year. From this union there were five children. Surviving him are the

her on January the third, 1915. Surviving are one son, Dr. Alfred T. Bazin, of 
Montreal, and two daughters, Miss Mary Bazin, and Miss Lydia Bazin, both at 
home, one brother, W. S. Childs of Chicago IL. The funeral was conducted by her 
pastor, Rev. A F. Pollock. Interred in the family plot in Mount Royal Cemetery 
Montreal.
