married in 1882. She is survived by her husband and 10 children, all of whom are

Road, and in 1903 married Margaret Gentles of Montreal. He is survived by his
widow and two daughters, Elizabeth, (Beth) of Montreal, and Jean, at home, also
a sister, Mrs. Thomas Bell of Etlington Saskatchewan, four brothers, William,
Robert and Thomas of Howick PQ, and John of Etlington Saskatchewan. Funeral
services were held in the Georgetown Church on Monday afternoon. Service by the

at Huntingdon PQ, aged 68 years. Funeral from his late residence. He was the
youngest son of the late Joseph Robinson and Elizabeth Brian. In 1911 he married
Marguerite M. Cunningham, then in St. Catherine's Ont. But originally a native
of Huntingdon, only daughter of the late William E. Cunningham of Huntingdon PQ.
Mrs. Robinson survived him.

06-12-1933 Mrs. James W. Pickup, formerly Mrs. Mary Talbot, one of our oldest
residence died, aged 83 years. The deceased was born in Blackburn Lancs, and
came to Valleyfield many years ago, her husband predeceased her several years
ago. The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. Arthur May, to St. Marks
Anglican Church, where the Rev. R. H. Parkes conducted the service, assisted by
Rev. J. G. Greig. There remains to mourn her loss, three daughters, Amy, Mrs.

years. He was married in Michigan City, North Dakota, to Miss Wiley, to this
union six children were born, of which three are still surviving. After the
death of his wife he returned to Canada, to his old home. There he met and
married Miss Mary A watt and returned with his bride to North Dakota. To them
were born four children. In January 1910 he and his family settled in Fort
Lauderdale Florida. He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, Mary Ann Gordon, and
three sons.

Dewittville PQ, aged 71 years. Caroline Harkness, was born Jan. 04,1863, in
Dewittville PQ. She graduated as a teacher from the McGill Normal School, in
1881. She married the late George M. Hammond in 1889, of this marriage there is
a son, Walter G. R. Hammond, a patent solicitor in Toronto Ont.. Mr. Hammond
died in 1893, and in 1896 she married the late P. F. Ferguson. Of this marriage
was born one son, Percy F. Ferguson, B.A., principal of Earl Grey School, in
Montreal PQ. Funeral was held in the Dewittville Presbyterian Church Saturday
morning, after which the remains were taken to the Crematorium in Montreal.

survived by one brother, Peter Caldwell of Louisville KY, who is 97 years of

age 72 years. Mrs.Leavens was born Aug. 10, 1861, in the town of Meeme, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Lumsden. On July 28, 1883, she was united in
marriage to Almon Leavens at Sheboygan Falls. The couple made their home in
Milwaukee until 1886, when they move to Colorado. In 1898 they returned to
Plattsburgh New York. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Alice, and
two sons, Asher and Burton, and one brother, William Lumsden, all of Sheboygan
Falls.
10-13-1933 W. F. Stephen, beloved husband of Laura Rose, died at Ottawa Ont.,
age 70 years. Interred in Huntingdon PQ. He was born on May 28, 1863. He was the
son of the late James Stephen and Margaret Wattie, who came from Scotland and
located on their farm on the Trout River road. James Stephen was one of the
early settlers who introduced and imported purebread Ayrshire cattle to this
district. He was married twice, his first wife being Miss Janet McFarlane to
whom he was married in 1897, and who died Jan. 01, 1910. His second wife, Miss.
Laura Rose, was united in marriage on December 30, 1911 at their home,
Strathdon, Huntingdon.

Saskatchewan. She was born in Georgetown PQ, in the year 1859, daughter of the
late James Brodie, late of Ormstown PQ. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
W. G. MacArthur, of Hearne Saskatchewan, and Margaret of Vancouver BC, five
sons, Archie of Comox, British Columbia, J.C. and W. N. of Briarcrest, Albert of
Nantel PQ, and Robert of Montreal. Thirteen grandchildren also mourn her death
as well as one brother, Robert Brodie, of Smith Falls Ont., and two sisters Mrs.
Booth of Monterey CA, and Mrs. G. Cooper, of Ormstown PQ.

12-31-1933 Catherine Childerhose, beloved wife of James A. Arnold, died at
Dundee Center PQ, age 65 years 07 months. The late Mrs. Arnold was born in 1868
at Cobden, Ont., youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Childerhose.
On December 15, 1897, she was married to Mr. Arnold, and came to live on the
farm which has been her home ever since. She leaves to mourn their loss, her
husband, and two daughters, Ada, Mrs. Dugald Beattie, of Hemmingford, and
Lillith, Mrs. Albert Rennie, of Brooklyn PQ, and one son Stanley at home, and
three grandchildren. The funeral service was held on Wednesday afternoon in Zion
United Church, conducted by the Rev. C.A. Haughton.

12-27-1933 Joseph G. Hall, formerly of Covey Hill PQ, Father of Mrs.R.A.
McIntosh of Dewittville PQ, died at Eaton, Compton County, PQ, age 74 years. He
was the son of the late Leonard H. Hall and his wife, Sara Kennedy, and was born
at Franklin Center PQ, on September 18, 1860. Mr. Hall was married twice, his
first wife being Jennie McDowell of Franklin Center, who predeceased him 17
years ago. His second wife is Edith Lillian Sunbury, Widow of the Late E.Bellum
of Clifton, who survives him. Of his first marriage four children were born,
Elsie Mabel, Mrs. Richard McIntosh of Dewittville PQ, Lulu Viola, Mrs. Harrison
of Sherbrooke PQ, Laura Irene, Mrs. Leon George of Masonville PQ, and Howard H.
Hall, who went through the great war, returned home an invalid and has been
confined to a military hospital in Westminister Ont. ever since. Besides his
wife and children, Mr. Hall leaves one brother, Mr. Leonard J. Hall of St. Louis
MO, and two sisters, Mrs. A Stevenson and Mrs.C. McGilton of Eaton.
Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral held at his late
residence, and service conducted by Rev. Oscar Brunt.
