This is a
Daguerreotype of a young woman in a Genuine Union Case. It is hinged and closes.
Made of thermoplastic and a design of Deer and Tree
both back and front. S.Peck patent Oct 31 1854, Sept 5
1856, H.Halverson patent Aug 7 1855 assigned to S.
Peck. That is the manufacture of the case.
This was found by my Aunt Rhoda (Cairns) Hamilton in a small antique store on
Roy Street in Ormstown. A shot in the dark if any one can I.D this lady and
