This picture has come down through the Armstrong/Ellsworth family but the
identity of the people is been obscured. This couple is either Benjamin and
Eliza (Dowler) Douglass or it is Edward and Margaret (McFadden) Armstrong. I
have another photo of the same couple at a younger age. In either case their

I believe they are either the KNOWLES FAMILY or ARCHIBALD ADAMS FAMILY. Robert Knowles and Hannah Copley Knowles are my husband's Great Great Grandparents and their son Thomas Copley Knowles and Ellen Adams Knowles (daughter of Archibald & Jane Johnson Adams) are his Great Grandparents. I would certainly appreciate any help. |
